Small green dots or spots can occasionally be seen on pressure treated wood. These are harmless salt crystals that combine with the the natural resin on the wood’s surface. These dots will fade over time and
eventually disappear altogether. This efflorescence does not happen with immersion treatment. As such,
these small green dots or spots on the surface can be seen as an indicator of quality. They are, in fact, the
result of a meticulous pressure treatment process.
